A 68m ocean going salvage tug also intended for anchor handling. The propulsion is diesel electric with three propulsion generators and two electric engines with their own shaft each driving a fixed pitch propeller in a nozzle. Feasibility studies and operational costs analysis have shown that the additional investment needed is feasible due to the fact that the operational costs (mainly fuel and maintenance) go down due to the better loading of the engines in the different operational conditions. The (preliminary) design includes a lines plan, a weight estimate, and resistance and propulsion calculations.
